Medusa Jack-O-Lantern

Here's my pumpkin carving for Halloween 2011. You guessed it, another Anime carving, as well as another of my cosplays!

This is also my fave and most complicated pumpkin carving EVER! I used 5 1/2 pumpkins to make this (1 large pumpkin, 1 full small pumpkin, and the halves from 4 other small pumpkins -- I had 1/2 left over that I didn't really use for anything).

I actually managed to carve this BEFORE Halloween instead of on it like my last few carvings. It took just as long to carve it all as it did to hollow out and clean all the pumpkins. About 4 or 5 hours in total. I used wood carving and pumpkin carving tools to make it. I used plastic balloon sticks to "hover" the smaller pumpkins. Each of the pumpkins has a candle in it. These are all real pumpkins. I will make time to carve this onto foam pumpkins if it kills me (which it very well might). ^_^;

I absolutely LOVE this carving... and I'm not quite sure I could ever out-do this one. We shall see what 2012 has planned.
