This was in Jan 2011. We actually got a little over 2 inches of snow! It was AWESOME!!!
I decided to make another snow castle. This one is exactly 3 feet tall from the bottom to the middle tower (the light adds another foot). This is taller than any sandcastle I have ever made!
I had bought a couple of rubbermaid containers a few days before it snowed, and I used those like "sand buckets" to make the layers of the castle. I also used a small trash can to make the towers.
It took a little over 2 hours to make. The hardest part was getting the middle part on without breaking the bottom layer. Snow is heavy! XD
It actually took 2 weeks to complete melt because of how much snow was in that one spot. It looked really cool as it was melting too -- the towers all leaned in gravity-defying ways until they fell off.
