Bunnymund ROTG Cosplay

I LOVE Rise of the Guardians! Didn't really think I would cosplay from it though until my friend said she wanted to cosplay Jack Frost. I told her I was totally cosplaying Bunny then! XD Here's the result (and oddly enough, she still hasn't finished her Jack)... XD

It took me somewhere around 6-7 months to make him, working most weekends and spare time I had around my work schedule. @_@ I had help with the design and making of the bodysuit (because first, I'm not allowed to use my roomie's sewing machine, and second, I don't really know how to use one anyway and suck at sewing in general). XD Everything else was make by me. The ENTIRE costume is hand made.

I used youtube tutorials for the head and to make the stilts I'm walking on. I had to modify the stilts though to be able to go down on his ankles like Bunny does and still have the toes touch the ground. There are two different types of faux fur on here to make the different lengths in his fur (all of it was white when I bought it). I airbrushed all of the blue coloring on him. Getting his markings just right really sucked! 

I also had to make my own screencaps from the movie to get the right angles to see all of his markings and all the other details. I even have his whiskers (which are hard to see in these pics).

I made his backpack/sling into a real backpack and can store supplies and extra props in it. Freakin painting that was super hard because it was near impossible to get a clear enough view of it. I had to improvise on some of the design. 

Although it's not possible to see it in these pics, I did add claws on his paws like on his toes, and his paw pads on both the hands and feet. I don't have a close-up of his boomerangs or gauntlets either, but all the little designs are painted on those as well. I even resin-casted the gems on his gauntlets. I also resin-casted his eyes, and they do "follow" you.

His mouth moves with mine as well. And he kinda smiles when I do, showing his teeth.  

I had actually managed to find a color-changing egg one day and totally bought it for this cosplay! It looks like I'm actually painting the egg since it changes colors. I do have some of his little egg men too. ^_^

It is EXTREMELY difficult to see and walk in him though. I most definitely need a character attendant/assistant. XD He is also super hot! I'm so happy I chose to wear him at Ohayocon (which this year's has been dubbed "Snowhayocon" because it snowed nearly the entire con). It was often in the single digits, and it felt amazing to me outside! The first time I had gone outside in the costume to cool off, there was actually steam coming off of me! @_@ I'm really gonna have to find a way to keep him cool if I have any hope of wearing him at the southern cons I go to... I may even have to invest in one of those expensive personal cooling systems. Who loves me enough to buy me one?!

VERY please with how he turned out! Just have to make a few adjustments: fix his ankle straps so they don't slide down, tighten his gauntlet straps a little, and figure out how to keep him cool. This is probably my most complicated and most expensive cosplay to date. XD
